Brief: Several agencies were invited to pitch for the design and construction of this client's stand which would be a 'one off' for the Interbuild exhibition.

The brief was to create a concept that would major on new products that would be of interest to both commercial and domestic users. Two thirds of the total stand area of 81m2 was to dictated to display area for the various ranges of product being drawn from existing and new product lines; The remaining area being used to form an innovative bar come hospitality area; However because formal and informal meetings would be taking place in an open plan environment within this area, controlled access was essential.

The positioning of the stand in the hall indicated that we should insure that the company name was open to as many lines of sight allowable by the local rules and regulations.

All the above criteria were met but the initial design although approved and very much liked by the client exceeded his budget (which was not known to us at the outset). After a period of fine tuning we found the solution which allowed us to present a modified concept to the client which this time came within the budget. We were then awarded the contract.

A successful and trouble free instillation allowed the client to fix and display his product with a day to spare prior to opening day.

All pre-exhibition orders and on site supervision of all work was undertaken by K2 personnel.
